Scraps

I have great intentions.  And in my brain, I am a perfectionist.  But when life gets in the way, things become imperfect.  Rather than let my expectations get in the way, I go forward with great hope.  So here is my perfectly imperfect purse/kindle holder for a certain someone that I made yesterday.  All of the items were free to me.  I made this with scraps left over from decorating my daughters room in 2006 (when pink and brown were HOT), a button from a sweater that got tossed, and ribbon from a present.  Even the velcro was from the packaging that held the blanket together that I bought for my stockings.  This is truly a free item.

This little diddy has character and I am sure will be appreciated by the recipient and I had fun making it.  Whatever you do, don't be afraid to just try.  Life isn't perfect and your creations aren't either.  None of my lines are straight, it's a little too big, I should have ran the strips vertical instead of horizontal, but it is still beautiful...and made with love, the most important thing.

Living Lake Oswego Style

If your from Oregon, chances are you've heard all the stereotypes of Lake Oswego. I consider myself a Lake Oswego native and find that although some of the stereotypes are true, most are not. Take for instance the country club lifestyle that might be on some peoples minds. Yes, the country club here is gorgeous but most people that live in Lake Oswego have never even stepped foot on that course. I'll show you my "country club". They don't have a golf course, but they do have swimming with a lifegaurd on duty.

They have shuffleboard, ping pong,

badmitton, volleyball, tether ball,

basketball, a sandbox, a kiddie pool,

dressing rooms, snacks, and two play structures.

All this can be had for the cool price of free! Well as long as you live in the area. So I guess it's exclusive, but you can have guests. Come prepared with quarters to "rent" the equipment for the various games. It will be returned when you bring the stuff and you can get a popcorn and a large soda for a $1.25 That right there is worth it's weight in gold! So if I do not answer my phone, it's because I'm lounging at the lake with my she-she-foo-foo friends while we sip diet cokes from hot high school boys and talk about where our next luxury vacation will be...yeah right!
